StayPut

There was a boy in children’s hospital in the burn unit.An Hospital teacher visited the boy and tried to help him with his school lessons. The boy was bandaged and in pain. The boy had given up. He had felt hopeless and helpless.Perhaps your moment of misery came with the death of a person, a dream, a hope, or a vision. Maybe a loved one deceived you or a friend deserted you. Hopelessness or helplessness can come any number of ways. Did you go and ask for help !1, or did you say: “Why bother God? What can He do? This is my problem.”There are only two reasons you would feel that way. First, you believe the situation is beyond help; you have concluded your hurt is untouchable. The second reason you might not bother aksing for help from above , is you think you’re too small for Him to care. You think since everyone has forgotten you that Almighty has, too. If you hold to either of those opinions, you are wrong.Wisdom is the application of knowledge. Don’t get caught in a web of knowledge without true wisdom that comes from the fear of the Lord How often we too face situations that seem overwhelming and impossible. It’s in those times that we need to find our confidence in ourselves and in God.Our first instinct may be to back away in fear. “Stay with it. Run the race. I’ve run it before you, and in My power you can win. You can do it!”says the scriptures. victory in the past gives courage for the present and hope for the future. Hold fast to Christ and He will give The will to see you through; And if you keep on keeping on, Your strength He will renew. —D. De Haan
