Turn your cares into prayers.
So much of what we live with, which we accept as being "normal," isn’t normal at all. Since that fateful day in the Garden of Eden, sin and its catastrophic consequences have played havoc with what God intended. Ever since, all of humanity has echoed the words of the Psalmist, "Oh that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest." Think for a moment. What will it be like to "fly away and be at rest", or to enjoy a place where there is no horror and heartbreak, no trouble and terror, no pain, and no problems?
People who aren't inquisitive don't make good leaders because they're not concerned about problems and solutions. Demonstrate the leadership qualities of inquisitiveness, initiative, and involvement. Continue to cultivate those qualities, allowing the Spirit to use you for God's glory
Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting, with strife
Spiritually, I am confused, so pray for understanding. Physically, I am tired, so pray for rest. Emotionally, I am very weak, so pray for strength. Mentally, I am worried, so pray for peace."
What a Friend we have in Lord, Our God, All our sins and griefs to bear! that a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer! —Scriven
Society today continues to search for peace in troubled times. Countries and communities are surrounded with troubles, trials, and tribulations. Afflictions and what we see in the news can cause many people to worry, lose peace, and lose sleep. Elisha, the man of God, was surrounded by the enemy, and his servant was fearful. The servant’s lack of spiritual vision brought fear to his heart. Elisha had eyes to see the physical, but also had eyes to see in the spiritual realm that God was greater. Elisha prayed for his servant, that God would take him to a deeper level of understanding so he, too, could see beyond the natural realm and experience peace! The secret to living in victory is realizing the Lord of your life is in the battle with you. Peace is lost when people look at the size of their problem instead of at the size of their God
